With Louie Leading his last official Cub camp as Section Leader, Broadstone Pack set off to make memories in the Mendips, Somerset.
Over 3 packed days they would stay at the Mendips Scout Centre in Wedmore, and visit Helicopters, climb quarry cliffs, toboggan, and see Weston Super Mare, Glastonbury, and the Hovis Hill!

Day 1 saw our intrepid cubs head to the Helicopter museum followed by a gentle hike around Weston Super Mare, taking in the low-tide scene and getting creative on the beach...

Day 2 sees our intrepid Broadstone Cubs tackling rock climbing in a quarry before speeding down a taboggan slope followed by a local hike...

Day3 sees our cubs stopping off on the way home first at Glastonbury, for a quick hike up the tor, then in Shaftsbury for the iconic Gold hill, known for the Hovis ad. After a side trip to the museum, its time for the camp awards!

When our cubs aren't adventuring, its time for shenanigans at our base camp, Mendips Scout Centre. Games, camp song composition, hot choc and smores; and a bit of chores too!

Broadstone Cubs (and parents) were joined by performer James Haynes Music, AUB Makeup Artist Emily Isobel Beauty, Tattoo Artist Angi Corrall of Dr Feelgoods Tattoo Studio and Bel Noyes - who is rowing the Atlantic for Abbie's Army Cancer Charity next year.
